The Air Jordan 1, considered by many to be the most important sneaker of all time, has been celebrated with a number of colorways over the years. This year, one of the most hyped releases would be the black and yellow Jordan 1 Pollen.
This is quite an interesting take on the Air Jordan 1. Keeping true to the original colorway, this comes with predominantly yellow upper and black accents. The pollen print isn't just some random pattern on the leather or mesh either; it's been strategically placed where you would normally see the classic Nike Swoosh.
Full leather was used for the construction of the upper, which Jordan fans will tell you is a departure from Jordan Brand's current trend to use Flyweave for almost all of their releases. That said, leather is not such a bad material, and in fact, adds a touch of luxury to the otherwise fully sporty vibe of the AJ's. Yellow overlays most of the body. The tongue tag is also a white Nike logo on a yellow background while the black Air Jordan logo is added on the sides.
We can't say how comfortable these are to wear yet, but just based on the materials, we think this will be great for wearing for long periods of time, with the durability to match.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG Pollen is officially unveiled as part of Jordan Brand’s Fall 2021 lineup. Jordan will also be releasing the Jordan 1 High OG “Black Mamba” and Jordan 1 Black Toe in the same season, so Jordanheads should expect a plethora of new silhouettes to fanboy over.
